About MIIDBA

MIIDBA (My-DBA) was built by a DBA for companies that need better visibility into their SQL Server environments. The “MII” represents my three children Malakai, Isaiah, and Isla making the name personal to me and a reminder of why I wanted to build something meaningful.

After nearly two decades of managing SQL Server environments, I became frustrated with monitoring platforms that were expensive, bloated, and filled with features I rarely used. Too often, companies can only afford to monitor a handful of their most critical servers, leaving the rest of their SQL environment largely invisible.

I wanted something different.

I wanted a platform that would email me when something started going wrong. I wanted a daily snapshot of my environment delivered to me so I could understand its overall health without even logging into an application. I wanted help identifying long-running queries, missing and unused indexes, outdated statistics, failed jobs, backup issues, disk-space concerns, and other problems that can quietly grow into larger incidents.

Most importantly, I wanted visibility into my entire SQL Server environment, not just the few servers I could afford to monitor.

That is why I built MIIDBA: simple, automated SQL Server health checks that provide clear, actionable information without the cost, noise, and complexity of traditional enterprise monitoring tools.

Install the lightweight agent, connect your SQL Server instances, and start seeing what matters in minutes. MIIDBA focuses on the day-to-day information needed to keep SQL Server environments healthy: performance, backups, jobs, high availability, configuration, inventory, and overall system health.

No metric overload. No endless dashboards. No consultants required.

Just practical SQL Server visibility at a price that allows you to monitor your entire environment.
